How To Setup An Openvpn Customer On An Ubuntu Machine

This tutorial assumes that yous are running on an Ubuntu 12.04 desktop. 'Coz I haven't done it inwards lower version :-)

1.) Go to System Settings in addition to click Network.

2.) At the lower left department of the window, click the "+" sign.

3.) Choose VPN in addition to click Create.

4.) In the adjacent windows, direct OpenVPN.

5.) In the adjacent window fill upwards up connecter name, gateway, the certificates in addition to key.

6.) Clicking the Advance tab fix gateway port to 1196, in addition to tick LZO Data Compression.

7.) Go to Security tab in addition to select:
Cipher=BF-CBC

8.) In the TLS Authentication tab:
 -Tick Use additional TLS authentication
 -set the key

9.) Go to IPv4 settings tab in addition to click Routes: Click "Use this connecter alone for resources on its network". Click ok in addition to then save.

10.) Activate VPN past times clicking the switch push inwards the occur correct corner of the window.
